WELCOME TO THE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT CLUB OF THE ROSS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN!!! What is the main goal of the Operations Management Club (OMC)? The OM Club is dedicated to developing leaders able to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s dynamic business environment. While we mostly promote/share operations management knowledge, we also are open to develop/exchange information of different functional areas that can create synergies with operations management in order to provide value to the organization. What is Operations Management (OM)? Operations Management is the design, planning, scheduling, and control of the transformation processes that create value for society. OM includes the materials, capital, and human resource inputs into an organization, and is applicable to both manufacturing and service industries. Effective Operations Management lies at the core of every successful organization. It goes beyond the specifics of a functional area, and integrates all activities to efficiently meet customer needs.
